M idea is not a discount, not a cashback, not a points programme. It is a closed-loop incentive system that rewards the cardholder at the exact moment of tender, rewards the merchant at the end of each day, and rewards both again at the end of each month. Every incentive is tied to the one behaviour M Bank actually needs: routing more volume ON-US.

Demand-side pull

A reason to tap M card, right now.

Every cardholder who taps an M card (physical, Apple Pay, or Google Pay) at an M POS for ₮50,000 or more gets to pick one of nine mystery boxes. Prize pool is engineered with positive unit economics and governed by a hard daily budget cap to prevent whale-gaming.

Supply-side push

Merchants paid daily to steer customers.

Tiered MDR rebate, up to 50% of base fees, calibrated to each merchant's monthly ON-US growth target. Settled the next business day — so the incentive is felt in cash-flow terms, not promises. Merchants become active recruiters, not passive acceptors.

Behavioural framing

Monthly lottery keeps the attention alive.

Every merchant who hits their target earns one ticket in the monthly participating-merchant lottery — 30 winners, ₮5M grand prize. Sustains engagement past the novelty window and generates earned media that the paid reward pool couldn't reach.

The merchant side

A rebate ladder, settled daily.

Merchants in scope pay a base MDR between 0.6% and 2.5%. Under M idea, each month's ON-US growth against their own baseline unlocks a step on the rebate ladder. The rebate is applied to every transaction in the following day's settlement — no quarterly delays, no claims process, no opaque formulae.

The ladder is self-limiting at 50% of base fee. A merchant on 1.2% MDR can never drop below 0.6% effective. The economics stay positive for M Bank at every tier.
